Just received the above lovely email from a mysterious stranger. In a world filled with AI scams, it’s so nice to see such sincerity of intention coupled with depth of insight! Especially for a book that hasn’t even found a publisher yet! I’m deeply touched . . . in much the same way that a foot touches a beartrap.
Not that I can blame my mystery correspondent too much. Considering that my (again, very much unpublished) novel features a troupe of ne’er-do-wells scheming to sabotage a crusade with a con, it seems oddly appropriate.
