Hell’s Librarian

I first drafted Hell’s Librarian several years ago, back when I was working the front desk at my university’s library. I enjoyed that job a lot—especially the early morning shifts. I was usually the only one in there, and everything beyond the windows was dark and silent, as though no one and nothing else existed . . .

I’m not the same person who wrote this novella, and my writing has developed quite a bit since then, but Hell’s Librarian is still one of my most honest stories. It represents the sort of writer I’m hoping to become. That’s why I’m sharing it here.

I eventually plan to record this in audio format and post it on this page. For now, I’m giving it away as an ebook in exchange for readers’ immortal souls email signups for my newsletter:
